Wedding guest. Office holiday party. The work dinner where the dress code is a single unhelpful word on an email. Occasion dressing is a solvable problem, but the internet mostly solves it with a grid of dresses and no reasoning, which is just a store with extra steps.

So every roundup here is built the same way. A specific occasion, a real constraint, and a short note on each pick explaining why it made the list. Mostly under $150, because the couple already spent their money on the venue and you should spend yours on fit.

How the picks get chosen

Products are selected against the occasion first and the price second. That means a $148 dress makes the list when it solves the problem better than the $79 one, and it means an item gets cut when the only thing it has going for it is being cheap.

Fabric, sleeve coverage, and how a color photographs matter more than trend for this kind of dressing, so those are what the notes talk about. If a pick needs a jacket to work at a church ceremony, the note says so.

How this site makes money

Affiliate links. When you buy through a link here, the retailer pays a commission and you pay the same price you would have paid anyway. Nothing on this site costs you extra, and no retailer pays for placement on a list.

That distinction is the whole thing. A commission is paid after you decide a product is right. A placement fee is paid before. The first one lets a site be useful; the second one quietly makes every list a rate card.

What this site will not do

A few rules are built into how the pages are made, not just promised here:

• No stale prices. Prices move, and a price printed on a page is wrong within a week. Where a price cannot be shown accurately, the card links out rather than guessing.
• No invented products. Every image of a specific item comes from that item's retailer. Nothing on this site shows you an image of a thing you cannot actually buy.
• No fake urgency. No countdown timers, no invented scarcity, no "only 2 left" unless the retailer genuinely says so on their own page.

Who runs it

fashionhauls.com is independently run and not owned by any retailer or brand. It is a small operation rather than a magazine, which is why you will not find a masthead here. If you want to reach a person, the contact page goes to one.
